Description 1

Perennial plant that can reach 0.5-1 m in height and appears branched at the base. Stems emerge from rhizomatous roots. Spear-shaped leaves covered in non-glandular hair and with serrated edges. Flowers with heads in terminal white inflorescence.

Biology 1

Reproduces both sexually and asexually (rhizome and cuttings). Reaches sexual maturity between the ages of 2 and 3.

Habitat 1

Inhabits inland ripary environments, such as very humid riverbeds in ravines and green mountain arboreal areas.
